|Did You Know ?
| Hollin Hall Senior Center has a Computer Lab in Room
There are 8 Citrix terminals (black monitors with flat screens) available for student and member use. The terminals can be
turned on by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the monitor. Let the system connect, and if any dialogue boxes come up, just click "ok".
There are no floppy disk or CD drives on the terminals. The black and white laser printer in the back of the room is the default printer. There is one PC with a printer that is for the use of instructors only.
Each of the terminals has an Internet connection through the Fairfax County Network. When you get to the desktop, just double click on the IE icon and you will get to the Internet from where you can surf the web or use E-mail. Members may now set up a free E-mail account on Yahoo, Hotmail, or other free sites.
|We give four-lesson classes of two hours each for the Basic Introduction to Computers, MS Word, graphics and Internet. Other, one-time, short classes may be scheduled periodically.
All classes are scheduled at the instructors' requests, and will not show up in the monthly calendar. You will have to check the bulletin board for classes being offered.
Members may use the computer lab any time there is no class in Room
215. If you do a lot of printing, please bring a ream of paper to maintain the supply. Any problems with equipment should be reported to the office.
